♣Think You Know Me?♣
Sunday, March 15, 2009 || 14:58 The Holidays is here, though I doubt I will do anything. Just going to enjoy it simply. Hehe! Yahoo to the Holidays!! Yesterday was the most biggest soccer match ever, Liverpool vs Manchester United! The match was as much a surprise as the winners. Who knew the match will end in 4-1, with Liverpool thrashing Manchester United! A score by Cristiano Ronaldo via penalty would have made sure Liverpool stayed down, but that wasn't the case. The first strike by Fernando Torres was very impressive. Mistakes by the once thought best defender Nemanja Vidic gave him the best chance to score against the Man United Keeper Edwin Van Der Sar. What a surprise was that! Who would have thought another goal was to come! Man United Left Back Patrice Evra tackled the Liverpool captain, the England international Steven Gerrard at the penalty box, again giving the referee of the match, Alan Wiley, another chance to give a penalty, this time to Liverpool. Surprising as it is, he let it loose and got another goal to give Liverpool a lead to 2-1. The second half was anything but boring. A good showing by Fabio Aurelio and Andrea Dossena was unexpected by most. Vidic gave a very bad tug on Gerrard shirt as he was released by Liverpool winger Dirk Kyut gave the referee an easy choice of giving him a red card, sending off Vidic. The match was thought to be over with a 2-1 scoreline, but unexpectingly, left back Fabio Aurelio launched his kick well, scoring another goal impressively at the corner of the net without Man United Keeper Van Der Sar moving at all! A surprising move is that Benitez took out left winger Alberto Riera, midfielder Steven Gerrard, and striker Fernando Torres, for side back Andrea Dossena, winger Nabil El Zhar and winger Ryan Babel respectively. Impressively, for those who thought it will end, they were wrong. The entry of Dossena was more than a surprise. He was released with a lob and managed to run past a Man United defender. With Van Der Sar approaching and the defense coming back, Dossena was forced to lob the ball. All thought it will go out, but it was neatly slot inside the net! Van Der Sar was confident it will go out, looking on only, not expecting a goal again! It is unbelievable that Liverpool would have won. Blames on Vidic was stacked on after another. It is an impressive showing that could lead Liverpool winning the title, already beating two big teams, Real Madrid and Man United. Who would win? You decide... Thats all folks. Labels: Life |
